Roy Sommer

Alina-Tincuța Scânteie

Alina-Tincuța Scânteie is in charge with the Communication activities in the project (promotion, visibility, dissemination, use of resources) and contributed with the project’s interviews.

She graduated from the Journalism and Communication Sciences and has 20-year experience of working in projects developed by NGOs in Romania, being part as well of the implementation team of RE-InVEST and REGAL projects.

She has experience in working with people in difficulty and has the skills to motivate and help people to open up to tell their stories. She contributed in OPPORTUNITIES projects by conducting the interviews with the migrants from Republic of Moldova.

Using her experience in working in different national and international projects, she facilitates the creation of easily accessible digital products for beneficiaries and is responsible with the promotion, visibility, dissemination and use of resources within The Open Network for Community Development Foundation’s projects.

Aly Tandian

Aly Tandian is Professor at the Department of Sociology of Gaston Berger University, Saint-Louis in Senegal. He is the author of several scientific publications on African migrations. In recent years, as part of the OPPORTUNITIES Project, his research has highlighted the figures of Senegalese migrants under the prism of an approach of deconstruction and empirical decentration of material and immaterial causes by giving voice to candidates for migration, migrants and state and association actors for a common understanding and better governance of migration and borders.

Anna Ruelens

Anna Ruelens is a senior researcher specializing in application of advanced statistical methods to the topics of comparative social policy and institutional trust. She was an active contributor to the EU Horizon 2020 project RE-InVEST. Within the "Opportunities" project she is responsible for quantitative longitudinal analysis of migration attitudes across the EU. She is also involved in the Horizon project Involve.

Bintou Ndaw has a Master degree in Educational and Social Sciences: Expertise Engineering. International projects (Paris Creteil University). Extensive experiences in gender, women entrepreneurship, social inclusion, capabilities, local development, project management. Mobilisation of diaspora collectives, second generation, women representation, local and national partners. Cross talk organisation and animation.

Birgit Bahtić-Kunrath

Birgit Bahtić-Kunrath works as a Reserach Fellow at the International Research Center for Social and Ethical Questions in Salzburg (ifz). She holds a PhD in political science (University of Salzburg), a Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA/Inter-University-Center Venice and University of Lund) and a diploma in political science (University of Salzburg/IEP Rennes). Her research interests lie in the areas of human rights, democratic systems, and integration. At the ifz she intensified her research focus in the areas of migration and (political) participation, and focuses on methods of empirical social science research.

Carolin Gebauer

Carolin Gebauer is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Narrative Research at the University of Wuppertal. A literary and cultural scholar by training, she specializes in the field of narrative theory. Her current research focuses mainly on representations of migration and mobility across media, storytelling as a cultural and social practice, as well as transdisciplinary narrative research and mobility studies. In the OPPORTUNITIES project, Dr. Gebauer supports Team Pink (WP 2) and Team Green (WP 5).

Christina Victoria Chert

Having a theater faculty at the base (George Enescu University of Art, Theater section), a Master in Cultural Project and over 22 years of experience in the NGO sector (in working with people in difficulty: people from poor rural areas, women victims of domestic violence, migrants), Cristina Victoria Chert can transpose the university expertise of the research teams within the Opportunities project to the level of simple dialogue with the interviewed person and can contribute to the realization of the best form of representation of the cultural manifestation for this project. Having the expertise of working in socio-economic research and social inclusion projects, such as Re-Invest and Regal, being a nationally accredited trainer (CNFPA), Cristina Victoria Chert can successfully conduct and expertize work sessions in adult education (sessions of Cross-Talks). With skills acquired in Project Management (CNFPA accreditation) and university economic knowledge (BBS Cochem - Deutschland), Cristina Victoria Chert can follow the implementation of the project at a quantitative and qualitative level (monitoring, evaluation, reporting).

Cinzia Brentari

Cinzia Brentari is Opportunites project manager on behalf of CNCA. She has an education in law and criminology and is an experienced project and programme manager for the social and health sector in Italy and internationally. She has worked for charities, foundations and universities in different EU Member States on coordinating research, advocacy and networking work and events. Her work has focused on the rights of marginalised and stigmatised vulnerable people, their empowerment and active participation into policy development and service delivery.
